Another educational, and very amusing site is Web Pages That Suck. This online magazine is the sister to a book of the same name. The goal and their motto: "Learn good web design by looking at bad web design." Sometimes, there's no other way to avoid a mistake than by seeing how it plays out. For seasoned professionals, this site is about as amusing as an eyesore can be. And yes, their own website design looks horrible.

Finally, for even more advanced topics, there's Mashable. Mashable deals with ways that programmers and designers can combine online web development resources, most of them 100% free to use, and create extremely powerful, feature-rich websites.

Mashable is where you'd go to learn how to use Google Maps to show where all the members of your forum live, or how to automatically pull pictures and commentary from Amazon for any publication you mention in an article.
